I'll be the first to ask... you did clear your browser cache, right?

I think you should make sure the files are uploaded to the correct location and that you have overwritten the old index.html or index.php file. Perhaps the old files you deleted were copies of the site stored somewhere else.

If you are uploading the web files at correct location then it should work properly otherwise you will need to contact to technical support, they will figure it out for you.

It's strange because you have deleted the old files (normally I would just rename the old files, just in case something goes wrong and I need them again). Have you also deleted the backup copies of the files? Normally they are stored on www folder.

First, make sure that it was uploaded correctly. Then, hold shift and hit refresh. If you are still not having any luck, contact your hosting provider's support team

Make sure you're uploading to the right FTP area. Some FTP clients cache the view as if the file was uploaded when in fact it was not. Rename your file to something else like index_test.html and call that up in your browser to verify you're uploading to the correct location. Also, I recommend you don't delete files you plan on changing. Rename them so you can easily restore them if you made a mistake. Hope this helps.

It sounds to me like you are not uploading in the right directory. Make sure it is in the public directory, and not the home directory.

Did you ever get your problem solved. We would all love to hear what the solution once. I think it is important to make sure the file hasn't been accidentally moved to the wrong directory. Also the name of the file is actually very important. Anyway let us know if you see this!
