What is meant by datacenter

Datacenters are the sites where computer systems and associated h/wares are kept. Servers mounted in 19 inch rack cabinets.It also include back up supplies,air conditioning etc.

in simple words datacenter is a place where many hosting providers and web site owners places their servers as they are specialized place for it and they provide you with all networking setup, 24/7 power supply and other infrastructure necessities

Think of a datacenter as an apartment building. Many people make each section their home, whether it be permanent or temporary. They (D.C/apartment complex) provides the heating, cooling, electric which you pay for!
