Yes brought a very known problem, yes many companies offer 24/7 support, but actually they offer you nothing, that is why we offer all future clients of hosting service, just try to bother the hosting company with your questions a few times in different hours of a day, and find out what they really offer.

If you're talking about pre-sales support, most providers with 24/7 technical support will defer your sales question to a sales rep during normal business hours (unless of course it's a one man operation).

Many webhost hire outsourcing companies to offer round the clock support, however outsourcing companies sometimes fail in providing quality support in timely fashion, not all companies though

Yeah. Most of the 24/7 hosting support you see is either fake or sucks!

(conflict of interest notice. I work for WH)

The place I work at does have REAL 24/7 AMERICAN phone support with a 1-888 number that gets you directly to a real person.... Like me

I don't think it is fair at all to put a percentage value on it, or even say that most providers claiming 24/7 support is fake. How do you come up with this number? Where do you get this stat from?

well many companies do have 24/7 support but many fake or scam 1 man company just publicize this and do not offer, must try some presales or use money back guarantee if you feel that they do not have 24/7

We Have no choice to have 24/7 support. We cant just leave racks of servers running all by themselves

but I'm sure others do scary

We offer 24/7/365 support. Yes, we have real, live people working round the clock to handle support issues.

HOWEVER

What most people fail to realize is that there is a difference between availability and response time. Just because support is AVAILABLE 24/7, doesn't mean they will have a 30 second RESPONSE TIME. There are other people in line too, you know. The longer response times doesn't necessarily reflect upon the worthiness of the host, either. Some are outsourced and are handling more than one host's support requests.

Also, read the support terms. Most hosts have 24/7 TECH support dealing with server issues. Sales and Billing support, which isn't such and immediate priority, may not be 24/7

That would be true of all companies. We do have staff that tend the overnight, however not as many as during the day.

There are no "office times" with an online business.
It's international so 5pm where you are is mid day somewhere else.
