Hello,

If you provide free hosting or "reseller hosting"(Still only few host provide Free reseller hosting) without ads then your site become a popular host within month or year?

I want to open free hosting but I think its a dangerous for me?(Time wasting, money wasting?)

I think most will agrees that you always get what your pay for when it comes to free. Although you would no doubt get several people looking to use the free hosting service, ultimately, unless you have a way to pay for your hardware, I/O, support etc, this will be nothing more then a money pit.

What is your over-all intention for this service exactly?

Sure, your service will become very popular with spammers, scammers and other abusing people. If you are lucky you can get a few serious persons and a lot of problems.

There is no real point to offering free hosting (in my opinion). You may be excited by how fast you are receiving sigbups but you will soon find out that most of the orders are SPAMmers. This is why most providers do not advertsie offering free trials

You will be very popular very quickly, but it is not worth the hassle it will cause.

I agree with what everybody else has said. Although there are a few hosts who do make a profit on free advertising. I think if you take enough time, dedicated, and a initial big investment there is a way to make your money back and more.

If you offer Free Beer and Snacks to people you'll become popular with them too. Usually you'll only become popular to the leaches however.

Car dealerships in my area offer "Free Lunch" or "Free Hotdogs" on a Sunday in order to drive traffic to their location. But there's no such thing as a free lunch While they may get many more people walking around on their lot, they're likely not buyers and are just there for the food.

Free hosting leads to trouble. You'd have to monitor what your customers post or suffer a painful takedown like blogetery if it gets out of hand.

Just throw in some free goodies like a domain or a gift card or something like Conor suggested.

If I were to provide free hosting I would not provide email accounts with the free hosting. I do provide free hosting for select businesses (with email) in my town and for friends. This is a great way to get the word out about your paid services if you do it right.

I too agree with PowerDot you will become popular among people who are already popular for wrong work they did. Yes with free hosting you had to keep checking what others are posting and so on.

You had better do good marketing for your site, it can bring popularity to your site as you think free hosting can damage you.

Very true... but sometimes if you are up for it, and do things right and set up premium packages you can run a successful company.

offering free web hosting can bring a lot of traffic to your site and it may also bring lots and lots of spammers and others that will abuse your server.

here and there you may see some people signing up and start using the account for good reasons.

You will soon become popular, attract spammers, and shut down your business in pain and loss.
