Competition would always exist, I don't find a single industry where you have no competition. Thats the way it is, rather it has to be that way else there would be no scope for progress.

So as stated by others either you get your invention/discovery patented or find out the weaks edges in your business which is making the customers switch over to your competitors. Increase the quality of service that you offer, you never know later even the customers who are currently using the services of your competitor might switch to using the services offered by you. So don't waste time in bothering yourself with this thought rather think of designing and implementing a better business strategy.

The world everyday is revolving around the ability to accommodate and innovate. Someone takes your great ideas, come up with more! Companies have thrived from the beginning of time in all industries to do this.

I agree, put up or shut up is how I see it.

For example I saw a thread here call "kiddie host"

Back in the day when more and more "kiddie host" came on board it felt like finger biting.

I had to take a step back and just let the kiddies do what they want. Who know they may learn and do a good job.

On the positive side, if they mess up and make the customers made, eventually the customer will leave and think twice about paying rock bottom prices. The market will work itself out.

Just on the flip side, the MEGA hosting sites. Example GoDaddy.

It seems that GD has dumb down the hosting and domain registration so bad that there are signs that their customer service has taken a hit hard and people seem to be jumping ship. Maybe I can get my boat next to their ship and a few can jump on my boat, my speedboat that is, LOL. Maybe a few can jump with you other guys.

I would just say keep at what you do best.

The competition is already out there between many hosting companies , you have to be reliable, trust worthy , with good hosting facilities that a good company must have, While competing an old company quickly is very difficult, one have to work hard to attain a good position.
You have to maintain and upgrade your company to make it a better for you clients.

The way i see it you have to constantly produce new services and evolve your current ones, this is the only way to survive. You start small, implement some ideas and never take a step back. Sometimes you cant fight the competition in a field, and thats why you have to expand your business into multiple fields ahead of time.

I mean you make a awesome Idea and after few years someone steal your hosting idea and then more peoples steal your idea and your business is near to close... then what you will do?
Note: You don't have any other option to earn money..
This happens all the time in business. If you have a successful business, others will copy your model and steal your ideas. Not much you can do about it except to keep innovating and giving your customers the best support.
