So I had been with Arvixe for a good few months, paid my bills on time. I even put 30 bucks credit towards my account 3 weeks ago. Then last week I realized that the Administrator is an idiot.

I basically went out all day was not even home. I come back to find my hosting suspended. Here is the reason why:

Someone came into the public chat support and were racist towards a support member. They mentioned my domain not even my username and that gave Arvixe the reason to suspend me. I would of understood if they had given more details about me and pretended to be me but the person who did this came in with a completely different name and the IP was from America in which I am from Canada. The IP was not a proxy because I found who the ISP for it was Optimum.com.

So I basically got banned and accused of being a racist because someone came into public chat being racist and mentioned my domain while doing it. I personally feel the situation was dealt with bad and I have praised the Arvixe support team, they are great and I always got along with them on the phone. Which is another important detail. I never used the public chat, I spoke to support on the phone and always got along with them.

If you are looking to buy hosting with Arvixe be wary because the Administrator obviously has no worries about suspending someone easily.

One thing I would like to say is they have a great support team just all you should worry about is if the Admin gets involved.

I am now with a new hosting company and back online. I asked the new hosting company about the situation and they said they would of contacted me first if it was a random ip and name. Which is what we call professionalism. The Arvixe Admin obviously does not know the meaning of the word and you should not trust him.

Thank you hostgator for getting me back online as soon as possible and feeling for me situation with Arvixe. If you are looking for hosting to trust then DO NOT TRUST ARVIXE.

With Arvixe being that big you would think they would treat their customers right. Let's see what others have to say about them...

Thanks hostleet. This was my first post, when I join forums I do not like to post links in my first post.^^ Probably looks like spam.

Also guys, all this will take is an apology from Arvixe and I will stop spreading it. I have not asked from anything but an apology from them to stop me posting.

What happened to you seems like a overreaction to what should have happened. If it was me I would have banned the user from the public chat which would stop the problem immediately, then would contact yourself.

At least you are now sorted and maybe if he finds your threads online it might make him think before he acts next time.

Agreed, and that would have been a professional way to handle it.

Wow. I am really kind of surprised. I have never heard anything but good things about Arvixe. Sounds like maybe they need to change some policies.

Well, I can not budget anyone. There are plenty of Shared Hosting providers, some of them good, some of them not. I do not thing that this company is not a good one. All web hosting providers have unhappy customers. I'm sorry you had a negative experience. Leave it behind and switch to another company.
