I can only assume you are talking about search when you are referring to Google.

From what I read last year, according to official Google sources, they perform on average 3-4 updates to search algorithm daily.

I rank number one or two for certain very targeted keyword combinations. I get a fair number of orders organically from Google too; without doing anything SEO-specific per se.

Lots of updates - what are you speaking of directly?

Yes, people DO care about SEO, in fact, people probably care more about SEO today than they ever did in the past.

SEO is very important to us. By using SEO and google analytics we can see what traffic is coming to our site and more importantly how they got there.

I'd totally agree to that. With more sites each day SEO is essential.

What you are doing here is SEO-specific. (Signature with links)

Panda version 24 was released and there was some changes with Google on the 17th, however Google states that it was not related to Panda - that was the big news that was coming down the pipeline since mid-december.

My point was that I'm not actively doing anything specific with SEO particularly in mind. That aside, nofollow is used here; which is supposed to not influence the rank of the target.

Are you talking about their stock or the meaningful conversations one can read on there daily?

I know some people that eat, sleep and breath SEO. Really though I still see many people caught up in the SEO deal, who would pass that up unless they prefer to not have visitors to their sites?
