on a recent thread a comment was made against me from the the forum moderator

Quote:
So your business model is to set a rigidly fixed amount of expenditure, and if anything comes up to upset that balance in that fiscal year there's no room to adapt? In my own businesses, there are things that crop up that are unplanned. Servers break, software prices increase, unforeseen needs like printers, external printing costs, postage rate increases and more. To not allow for any of that seems excessively strict, and why I mentioned your business model.
If it works for you to be so inflexible, so be it.

Or were you just blustering against WHMCS for changing their licensing practices and hoping to convince them to change because you would no longer buy that addon?
so i reported this through the report system, but this report was replied to by the same forum moderator with

Quote:
***************
The truth hurts. Moderate as you see fit, whomever handles this.
***************
, which later he seems to have changed to
Quote:
Moderate as you see fit, whomever handles this. I stand by my question.
so i reported this to WHMCS and the moderator got this warning

Quote:
Bear,
I unapproved the post. As a moderator, responses should be held at a higher standard. While not encouraged, if you feel the need to make such commentary make a separate account that has no correlation to your moderator account.
but only to reply to this with these lies

Quote:
I completely understand, and you're right. This one member in particular gets under my skin a bit, since he's a notorious liar (once faked his own death to escape bad reviews and lies) and manipulator and I let it get the best of me. No need for another account, but thanks. A weak moment.
so i have mailed Matt direct and given him 24 hours to remove bear ( he would if this was done by a normal member) or i will inform the authorities

A few things if I may here:

Setting the post to moderation is not the best way to go, IMHO. I'm sure to come in after you and approve it, not knowing your plan to hide it by setting the mod bit.

This line: "Or were you just blustering against WHMCS..." is harmless.

Blustering; verb:
"Talk in a loud, aggressive, or indignant way with little effect: "you threaten and bluster"; "“I don't care what he says,” I blustered"."

I agree with bear here, easyhosting does, bluster.

The higher standard is the entire community, not one moderators comments to an overly problematic user. A user, I might add, who I have spoke to on many occasions about, wait for it.... his blustering.

He starts trouble, and then reports users who disagree with him.
***************
which are all lies and seem to defend their moderators libelous comments.

Sorry to hear of your troubles with Bear / WHMCS. Though I don't see many "staying away" from WHMCS because of this, especially as it is the core application in managing ones business .

Just leave it and move on no one gets on with everyone .

true just a rant. if it was a normal member like us and not one with mod status making these comments we would be banned, but WHMCS ( cpanel staff) seem to defend the mods libelous comments.

Well generally Bear is a good moderator - if this was a common issue then I'm sure Bear would have been removed. I'm sure they see it as a one off issue and so are letting it slide.

I'm sure you will both move on eventually though and look back and laugh at this .

Bear has always had it in for me since i reported an abuser on WHT. Even Matt has told him to stop attacking me on the WHMCS forum ( which he has done on many occasions)

Oh sorry I wasn't aware of the history / this was an on-going issue. If WHMCS acknowledges that one of their mods is bashing one of their customers on a constant basis (with really no grounds for other than a grudge) & they are not doing anything about it then...... : o!!!

well as a member of WHMCS staff seem to encourage the mod to open a second account ( also against WHMCS forum rules) to bash another member

I have spoken to the Office of Fair Trade (trading standards told me to contact them), even as Bear is just another member as he has mod status he is classed as an unpaid whmcs staff member, so they are going to contact WHMCS and inform them to take action against their mod or face having their business closed down, under harassment laws

Probably shouldn't have posted that.

Why not just ignore him? Your business runs on WHMCS, no? What "action" is considered acceptable (removing Bear, warning etc...?) - I personally think your taking it a little to far & think it would be better to simply move on.

I am moving away from WHMCS as i have many instances and i have copies that Bear has constantly abused me on their forums and if they do nothing about it then they should face what even happen to them

Good luck with the move.
