IP Based Hosting is almost same as VPS hosting, Where you get different IPs address for N number of clients. Each client will be having unique IP.To run different scripts or software you require a unique IP address.

Wait a minute. Care to explain what is IP based Hosting? And why you are thinking it’s almost same to VPS. Just because of offering different IPs to customers doesn’t mean it’s same as VPS, customers can have unique IPs on Shared hosting as well.

I think you're confusing VPS hosting with either IP based or name based virtual hosting.

I know that if you take a dedicated IP on our shared hosting (under CloudLinux), it is almost the same as a VPS.

1. Your mail is send and received through your dedicated IP. (Great for business email, as you never get banned for someone else's behavior).
2. You have your own virtualised file system
3. You have your own resource limits for:-
i. CPU
ii. Physical Memory
iii. Virtual Memory
iv. I/O
v. Disk-Space

In theory a reseller or customer could host a number of different sites on their account, like they might on a VPS.

Maybe this is what they too are offering?

If not, and I would also like some clarfication as to the meaning of their statement/question.

same company, with both users using the same style in context etc. so it does look to be written by same person.

also it looks like you are post counting as all your comments on threads are short 1 liners which all nothing to any topic.

I haven't heard any different hosting as IP based hosting. Every hosting, whether VPS or dedicated comes with a single or numerous IP addresses. Yes, you can at the most pick a particular server from a particular location depending on your IP requirements.

Hi,

" IP Based Hosting is almost same as VPS hosting, Where you get different IPs address for N number of clients. Each client will be having unique IP.To run different scripts or software you require a unique IP address. "

--> I don't agree on it. Just having a separate IP does mean they anyway near like VPS hosting. Yes, you get unique IP, but underlying OS and hardware is shared by all and if one runs a script that is too heavy, it will affect others and overall performance too, then again you have to use third-party softwares like CloudLinux to isolate each of them, but that too does put you near VPS hosting. You never get a dedicated physical RAM across multiple client on a shared server, it all virtual memory on top of Physical one.
