I have a reseller account with AMS so i can have my main site and WHMCS separate to my clients VPS.

so i reported an issued to them and posted it here

Idiots at Zirconhosting.com

well guess what its happened again but with another site natradan.co.uk

https://www.filesanywhere.com/FS/M.a...885896a27ba59a

http://whois.domaintools.com/natradan.co.uk

if you got http://natradan.co.uk this will direct to my site. i suspect someone on their server is purposing linking their sites to my site which could be a way of them trying to find a way into my site files, which i reported only to get this reply

Hello

How are they hacking your files?

How are they stealing your certificate?

I'm not understanding the logic in this. If someone is linking to their site using https and that request goes to your site, how is that using their site?

What would be the reason for someone linking to their site using https without a secure certificate, leading to your site, what is the end game for them?

clear they have no idea about hosting and hacks as after i told them this

No idea what their endgame is, but if they are linking their domains to my site they could be trying to use some sort of script/files to follow what is happening on my site even passwords etc. to my admin area/cpanel login details
they reply with this (which seems they are trying to blame me)

Hello

How?

The only website and web hosting account that would be running would be those on your account.

The only way they are going to steal information from your site is if you have a script or something on your account that is allowing it to be stolen. And if that exists, using https://natradan.co.uk or https://niceday-hosting.co.uk isn't going to make any difference.

looks like i will have to place my site and whmcs on the same server as my clients

Hello Easyhostmedia,

I was actually quite interested with your case and our admins double-checked this idea. It turned out you CAN NOT gain access to a website from the outside - hacking scripts should be uploaded to your website's folder. Thusa said, their support was right.

The question remains - why do these folks redirect to your site?

Moving sensitive information away from the targeted site should be a good idea.

It does seems a strange thing, but when its happened more than once and the hoist not willing to do anything about it is also strange.
I think at least they should be looking at the accounts doing this to see what other activity they are doing. they could be spamming etc. and any reports could effect me and my sites as they are directed to my my site
