What exactly do you mean by this?
I meant what legal issues exist when hosting backups on your own personal computer, not in a data storage facility that you don't immediately have access to (i.e. security, etc.).

That's awesome. You have your backup in the same system as the original data. You don't have it in a different location.

Ok, every second you're mirroring the data to a second drive. That's great too. OOOOH, this second you got a virus - now that virus is mirrored onto the other drive. Guess you're outta luck.

Raid is not a backup solution. It might make you feel special, but it is not the end all be all of backups.

Once you lose all your files one day with an old backup - you'll have backups made everyday

Wouldn't daily cover the weekly and monthly?

While it would, this is the backup schedule we do:
Daily: Incremental - only changed files are backed up to a tape and stored locally.
Weekly: Full - all files for the week are backed up to a tape and transported offsite.

Tapes are then rotated from there and stored securely (fire proof box under lock and key or what have you.)

Yes, be logical here though, I back-up daily, but I keep a back-up of every day of the week, a weekly (sunday) back-up and a back up of the 1st day of the month. This covers if someone changed their site 15 days ago, and now they wanna go back I have a monthly back-up they can use.

12:01 am, every day:

Every HDD is imaged, encrypted, and sent to Atlanta (main DC location is Dallas, TX).

The encryption is because we deliver the backup files to Atlanta via http and/or ftp protocol, and don't want any security breaches which would give someone an entire image of one of our drives.
