With the increased competition between DSL, Cable and Satellite comapnies for market share, the prices for DSL have really dropped.

You can get residential DSL through the new ATT for 12.95 a month and 14.95 a month through Verizon. The cable companies aren't lowering their internet packages by a lot but are offering discounts for TV offering when bundled with the internet services. And now you can get True Wireless access for as low as $60 a month!

With this increase in higher speed subscribers it is making shopping online that much easier. Which leads me to my.. point?

It seems that traffic has increased but a great deal all across the board for sites that I work with and/or host by about 5% total. WOW! In reading the other post here about the increase in fraud, I think this may have alot to do with that also.

Has anyone else noticed this trend? Or am I just one of the lucky ones?

Well, I can speak about Verizon only, as I don't have much experience with the others, when it comes to Internet.

Our company uses Verizon DSL, and wireless routers, and relays to power the office. We do get Verizon DSL for $14.95/mo, but we also had to sign a 1 year contract to do so. In fact, the Verizon commercials tell you this as well, if you read the fine print at the bottom of the screen. Without the 1 year contract, you will be paying about $40/mo for Verizon.

Yeah, any Verizon business account requires a 1 year contract and any reduced rate service for your residence does require a 1 year contract too...
