I am on my third host and I have not found the right match. There is either too much downtime, no flexibility, and/or terrible support. My Max budget is $100 a year. (I like to pay yearly) I would like a reseller account with WHM/cpanel combination. I probably won't resell but it makes it easy to host friends and give them their own cpanel. I find cpanel very easy to use.

My space requirements are 1-3gb (probably won't use it all, but I like the ability to expand)

My Bandwidth requirements are 30gb-100gb a month, the most I have used is around 8gb, again I want room to expand.

I don't need dedicated ip's but it would be nice.

All the other features of the plan should be unlimited (ftp, email, databases, domains)


But the most important statistics to me are, reliability and speed of servers. I have noticed with some hosts that the servers are so overloaded that sites load very slow. (Especially database driven sites). I would like the reliability to be as close to 100% as possible.

Technical support is also important. One company charges $30-$50
to do an upgrade to php, I find that outrageous. I am pretty experienced now, but once in awhile I have a question and need help and a good answer.

Also could you please answer the following questions:

- How long have you been in business?
- What are the specs for your shared and reseller servers?
- What datacenter do you use?
- Do you have uptime statistics?
- Is my account easily upgradeable? Is there an upgrade fee?
- How many people are on your support staff?
- Do you have a file I can download to test system speed?
- Do you have a money back guarantee?
- Do you have an uptime guarantee and if so is it server uptime or network uptime?
- Do you perform regular backups or am I responsible for my own backups?
- Are there any scripts that you don't allow to run on shared plans?

- What is your cancellation policy for yearly plans?
- What version of PHP does the server have and how often is it upgraded?
- Test download link?
- How is your technical support run? (ticket based,AIM, live support, email, what hours?...)
- Do you allow over usages of bandwidth, if so how much per GB?
