I agree completely with what you say here. Running a server from home is actually quite easy, but stick any sort of load on to it then you will soon see problems. Also you have the power problems and other problems that a home does not provide protection for. I think a small reseller plan would probably work out cheaper then buying the UPS, server, bandwidth needed etc...

Surely and technologies we have today allow us move to the VPS just in few mins.
So I think that migration issue is not problem at all.
