Gazzin.com is the company I want to use reselling but which one would be more profitable for me - Linux or Windows?
Any thoughts?

I've heard good things from those who use Linux but the majority of users will want the Windows server. Linux has yet to become as popular, for some reason, so it may limit your customer base.

Agree if you are not planning on using ASP then Linux is the way forward.

Actually the vast majority of people will be on Linux servers.
Windows may be a popular home computer OS but for servers in the internet world Linux is far far more popular and far cheaper to operate.

I see no reason other than running Windows proprietary software to select Windows servers over Linux.

That's the kind of question that no third party can answer. You know your target market, you know what they ask for and what kind of markup you can have while being competitive.

Yes, exactly. You must find out if your target group has some specific requirements regarding windows OS (e. g. if you target for customers using some script written in asp). If not go with linux. If you are targeting mainstream also go with linux.

It all depends on the familiarity of the OS and the type of customers you are targeting to host on your reseller account. Of course, every OS on hosting servers comes along with a hosting control panel, like cpanel, plesk etc, which actually do not require the reseller to login to the server , but instead can manage the reseller domains using a software panel.

You can be profitable by reselling either one, however they are different markets. As others have said, this depends on who you plan on marketing to and what kind of customer you are trying to attract.

Can you provide us with a little bit more information on your market you are trying to go after, and we can help you with narrower your search between the 2 for you to decide on your decision.

Depending on how the web hosting provider has setup the server, you can also run asp pages on a linux server. So that should give some more room for thought, however it won't run as well as a windows server if that is a hard requirement.

I personally prefer Linux over Windows as this is what I am used to.
Linux is also more widely used in the Hosting industry.

That's an interesting point. If the question is which platform is better for most users, the answer is probably Linux. But if the question is which platform might give you an opportunity to create a niche market, maybe you can focus on some aspect of Windows hosting, which is less common.
