We host shared and reseller packages on the same servers without any problems. As long as you can efficiently monitor servers and keep them running smoothly, you will not run into any issues

I don't think it is fully the responsibility of the client to manage the servers. It should be the host who keeps things running smoothly. They are the ones paying you; remember that!

I would recommend keeping these clients on separate servers unless you allow a certain amount of shared / reseller accounts per server.

Unless you pay for managed servers, it is entirely the client's responsibility to keep the server running smoothly

That's one of the reasons why you need to put your reseller accounts on a diferent server.

I feel it is Ok to place them in the same server. Just ensure not to place so many accounts in one server because then the high loads problem begin and it is harder to manage.

Am I missing something??? On Shared Hosting, it is the hosts responsibility to keep everything running. If this is a Dedicated or VPS, that is different.

As a rule of thumb, it would be a good idea to keep both separate especially if you have a lot of each type. Would just make managing things a whole lot easier. On the other hand, it shouldn't really matter even if they're on the same server as long as the packages are allocated properly.

Offering both is a good idea, but if you do offer both on the same server dont allow your resellers to oversell at all!!! Or this may effect your shared customers resources.

Allowing multiple resellers to resell can become a mistake that some never recover from.
