I have been using ipage for more than a year now. I found that their customer support is very professional. Recently, I moved my simple website http://www.job-interview-questions-answers.com to ipage very smoothly. A review is published here: <URL snipped: no review found but a top 10 list>

From my point of view, finding a cheap website is important, but finding a deal the fit your budget and requirement is more important.

you're paying too much

are you still paying last year prices?

you're not using unlimited band or space are you?

i suggest you look around this forum for better deals with reputable small-group hosting companies.

I appreciate your review, but what do you mean recently? Your website is just 1 month old.
Possibly sites like yours will be able to survive on an unlimited plan and not get canned, but take any bandwidth-hungry site and I see it being suspended way too quickly. Such is the nature of providers' "unlimited" promises.

Also, perhaps you should repost your review below according to our template we ask people to follow: http://www.hostingdiscussion.com/web...-template.html

I'm not reading this correctly, I guess.

Sorry for the confusion. I meant I hosted my new simple website job-interview-questions-answers.com on ipage recently. And I only pay ¥3.5 per month. With the quality of service I got from them, I thought this is a pretty good deal. I have many websites (some of them are years old:-) and have been using many other hosting services. I feel I paid too much for some of other websites. I actually got slightly burned by a very cheap web hosting company (sorry it is not appropriate to display their name here as they might improved) in the past. Please drop me a note if you came across better deals. thx.

Please share a few URLs that you host with them also. It would be beneficial to all to add validity to your review.

plexihost above seems to be able to beat that deal. mind you i've never used plexihost before but next package i'll buy will prob be from them (at least they are hosted at "The Planet").

the last package i got was from valcato hosting and while they won't offer you unlimited band/space, they will kick ipage's ass day-in day-out, from sunrise to sunset, in terms of quality of hosting/service.

here's a dummy drupal6 hosted on valcato >> http://drupal6.hostsurfing.net/

I think it's safe to say we won't see any additional URL's. Then again, maybe he'll surprise us all and back up his claim... who knows?

I, for one, hope Jack does surprise us with a verifiable review.

There is no such thing as unlimited bandwidth. Any company that promises you unlimited bandwidth are counting on the fact that you will not use it, and if you do they will quickly find ways of either forcing you to pay for it, or restricting your site.
