There are multitudes of scripting languages on the web - some are server-side, and offer better security and are more powerful when it comes to creating websites. Client-side scripts are great at being quick, and are useful for making web applications.

In my opinion, everyone should know a language of some sort! If you DO know one, what's your favourite one?

I personally like PHP best. It is the most powerful for its ease of use (IMO) and can do everything that you need it for. I occasionally combine it with basic Javascript to add some interactivity, but overall - PHP.

What's yours?

I only really know php so it is going to get my vote. I would like to learn more types of coding but I feel that it would be in my best intrest to master php first so that is what I am doing.
