I am considering Joomla for my web hosting companies website and was wondering if anyone else is using it? I am interested in it because there are quite a few Joomla extensions and modules that are geared towards web hosting company websites

I don t tend to use Joomla unless the customer really wants it - we mainly use our own CMS for customers sites.

But if it serves the needs of you and your clients then great.

I'm talking about using Joomla for your website not for a clients website. i just found this web hosting component that makes it easier to take orders through Joomla. Better yet, it is free

Joomla has some very useful plugins for hosting. Also, there's a community plugin that, while not geared toward hosting, has many membership features. Joomla is a bit bulky, but if you had a large enough following it would take care of itself. Otherwise, it's probably over-kill for a site that's going to have more static content than not.
