Has anyone tried the Mastering PHP 5.0 CD? I just recently bought and hoping it can help me

Mastering php 5.0, isn't php 5.0 new? it takes ages for books to come out... well I am a noob to php and just bought my own 15 dollar book. I bet yours is better, mines just a hand book.

Are there many good online resources for php or do you think books are the best way to go?
