Many thanks for this superb list. dofollow blog comments have proved its magic in gaining good back links for the site. if anybody uses this site with some effort and smart work he will definitely be benefited.

This blogs are not for spamming purposes, do not forget that.
And you psots won't be moderated. and one more thing if you post good comment and you still going to moderate (without publishing after 2 days) it is possible that your email is in spam lists, ehre are used by anti spam plugins in that blogs

I get a ton of spam on my blog everyday, but I've blacklisted a lot of IPs to deal with it. Everything is moderated. I love it when readers actually post relevant comments.

A good list Yes as above, as long as people leave relevant comments, there's nothing wrong IMO.

But it's when you have (say) someone just copying and pasting in dozens of links without any sort of comment that it gets tiresome for the blog owner.

If you decided to resurrect this 6-month old thread, could you perhaps elaborate on your answer? Why do you think it is not beneficial? Do you have a direct experience with SEO or posting on blogs and creating a campaign to study results of those actions? Have you read any documents and other case studies that suggest that? "not at all" is not really a contributory answer we are looking for as far as the standard of this board goes. You are expected to explain your position.

These days you have to moderate every comment, otherwise spammers will just go nuts with spam on your blog. More than anything, it's just irritating because you spend more time removing spam comments then legitimate comments.
