I have CS5 but I only ever use the code view so I'm guessing there isn't any difference by doing so. I have to admit though watching what people can do in Dreamweaver without looking at the code is amazing!

Most visitors to sites don't know a lot about web design. If the site is visually appealing, loads fast, can be easily navigated and has quality content, they don't care how it was created. A lot of the stuff that a designer will notice immediately routinely gets passed over by most users. I always use a split screen in Dreamweaver, and that works fine for me.

Not really. The main and basic features are near about same. You can use it for some more days.

Not a whole lot. Dreamweaver is pretty fully fleshed out as an application and there's not really much room for evolution.

I think it was CS4 that integrated all the applications together. So, for instance, you could place a PSD in an HTML file through DW, and use DW to choose which layer comp to use, and do minor edits to the PSD in DW.

As for DW CS5, the only upgrades I saw that piqued my interest, which hasn't been enough to have me upgrade is an HTML5 extension (But what's the point when HTML5 isn't even a recommendation yet?), and native integration with Joomla and Mambo CMSs.

If you can use CS3, you can use CS5 with no hiccups.

CS5 is very good environment for customization with many advance and better features. Try for it.
