ay like a 100 gigs. Something fast and cheap. Is there something that can be used on my computer maybe?

I have very little ssh knowledge so I would prefer something simple but I can get someone to do the work for me if need be.

If you have a VPS or Dedicated server running cpanel then look at CPremote

How fast and how cheap? Do you have shared, vps or dedicated? Windows or Linux?

i would assume as the OP stated 100G that they have a VPS or dedicated, this is why i suggested cpremote.

What kind of backup are you looking to do? Are you wanting to download it to your home computer or are you looking to store it elsewhere on the web?

There's a couple of methods that you can try - cpremote is a great option. The others on the list would be to contact your host, see if you can attach a drive (you mail it, they mail it back).

When we do remote backups, we back them up to other machines, so rsync is best in those cases. We've moved some HUGE sites in the past (in excess of 400GB).

Last option would be talk to your host, make backups in sections as 1 HUGE file can sometimes be an issue when doing downloads. Have them break it into 10GB sections. 10GB is huge too, but you get the idea).

In my experience the rsync is the best option, as moving large backup file is not necessary as cPanel create the archive file which will require additional space to store before transfer to backup server.

I am not familiar with the product but doesn't that assume op is using cpanel? (and only apps that cpanel can handle)

yes because cpanel is the most commonly used control panel and as the OP has given no details then we can only offer solutions on assumptions

cPanel has the possibility to backup/transfer sites. Also, you might like to try 3rd party tool xCloner, it makes a full site/db backup/restorations, splits large archives and transfers to another server without issue.
It's really great solution and we're always recommending to our customers.
