Geocities has now been officially closed

Yahoo‘s Geocities web hosting service has finally been shut down by the company. The decision didn’t come as a shock, as Yahoo management announced the plan back in April this year. The Geocities branch has not been performing to company’s satisfaction. Yahoo has been under a lot of pressure and the company directors have been reorganizing the company for the past few months. Geocities has just become another operational unit to be shut down by the company.
