HP invests in DC automation, operational efficiency

HP’s recent investment in their data center automation and other operational changes will see approximately 9,000 employees lose their jobs. At the same time, 6,000 new jobs will be created for sales and workers on global delivery centers. The decision by the company will provide new offerings and service delivery will improve.

HP delivers innovative all-inclusive networking solutions

Hewlett-Packard, always at the forefront of technology solutions manufacturing, has announced its latest comprehensive edge-to-core networking portfolio, aiming to provide networks with higher speeds and lower energy costs through its own ProCurve technology combined with technology recently acquired from 3Com.

TWIH: Microsoft, HP put heads in cloud

Microsoft has publicly outlined its vision for container-powered cloud services with CEO Steve Ballmer giving the technology his blessing, saying that “when it comes to cloud technology, we are all in.” Poker analogies aside, Microsoft’s plan to change the technology its data centers are built on is both impressive and forward-thinking.

LeaseWeb partners with Hewlett-Packard

Netherlands-based LeaseWeb has partnered with Hewlett-Packard. LeaseWeb will provide HP with solutions to reduce energy consumption of its hosting infrastructure. LeaseWeb customers will also continue on using HP’s Factory Express services due to this deal. Also, LeaseWeb will start to offer HP’s Green IT products such as HP ProLiant Servers models DL120 and DL180.
