Peer 1 expands partner strategy

Peer 1 has launched a channel sales division in support of company’s overall strategy to grow and support Peer1 partners. Peer 1 hopes to increase its channel business revenue to 50 percent before 2016. The company is also planning to roll out a new partner portal next month.

Pacnet’s $300M data center network play

Pacnet, Asia’s telecommunications provider, has announced plans to invest over $300 million in building a data center network consisting of 10 DCs (all based in Asia), over the next three years. Previous reports suggest the company’s investment might go as high as $600 million.

NTT Communications completes deal with Pacific Crossing

Pacific Crossing Limited and NTT Communications have completed a deal, which gives NTT complete control of a submarine cable that offers low latency between the United States and Japan. It also means that it can offer enterprise and carrier market customers the highest quality network services in some regions including the U.S. and Asia.

iWeb’s upgrades network to 50Gbps

Montreal-based web hosting provider iWeb has expanded its network. It started with 9Gbps at the start of last year and has just reached 50Gbps.
