I recently started at a school in england doing a computer course. We were all given an email address for use with schoolwork. I have access to it at home using a web based version of Novell GroupWise but I'd much rather use Outlook for this as I already use it for other schoolwork related stuff. Only problem is I have no idea what the mailserver is and I was wondering if there is some program I can use to find out what a emails mailserver is. I asked one teacher but he didn't know what the mailserver was. I could ask someone else but if anyone knows a solution that would be great.
If it's on groupwise via a web page, then there may well not be any POP/IMAP external access. Identification of the mail server is simple given the headers, however knowing the server and having access is a different issue
I'd talk to the IT people before doing anything else.
