I used to love Diet Coke first thing but I have my doubts about aspartime. So I changed to Ice Latte and got a few extra pounds I don't need. Now I do green tea but it does not make the morning great at the least. Tried smoothies, water, juice, but still looking for the Holy Grail of morning drinks.
I am starting the day with cereals, milk and coffee. Coffee is not "normal", I am drinking boiled coffee something like: http://coffeegeek.com/guides/turkishcoffee mixted with milk. I can't drink any other type, and just one brand "Jacobs Coffee" or without milk (not cream).
