2 German Shepherds, male is a tracking dog and my shadow and female is our herding dog. A leopard gecko, ball python, african grey, pair of alexandrine parrots, pair of indian ringnecks, a grey singing finch that is looking for a mate, fish, 2 rats (Millie & Frualie) and Hawkeye, the blue jay that I rescued.

Currently the only pet we have is my son's rabbit.

I use to have a full blooded Husky, but we had to sell her when we moved, as we're not permitted to have dogs or cats in our new home.

It must've been very hard to do that Mark. I don't have any pets, but I know that one gets very attached to them. They become part of the family.

I had two hamsters before. The cool one lived 17 days and then committed a suicide. The wild and crazy one (I never touched him) lived 3 years. I really want a dog, but frequent traveling and busy scheduling makes me think how responsible I can be.

Best,
Artashes

I currently have an 8-year old yorkie. He's a very peculiar dog, but I love him

It was extremely difficult. I had Kumari since she was a 2 week old puppy. I had her trained with hand-commands, etc...

When I found that the people who own the townhouse we rent wanted absolutely 0 dogs or cats.....I told my wife..."Nope....not moving!" lol I basically implied that her and the kids could move into the house and that I'd rather live in a box on the street...with my dog.

Yeah it was tough.

Uh oh...you may have opened a can of worms with that one lol.

She's beautiful! I love huskies...I've always wanted one. I was told that they weren't suitable for southern California weather conditions though..

Yup... I like Kumari too. Huskies are beautiful.

My girlfriend doesn't like them much though because she's afraid of them. They look too much like wolves for her taste.

They can be fine in Southern CA weather, but the pet would require a bit more attention, as far as getting groomed a bit more often, to make sure his/her hair was short enough etc..

Huskies are known for their ability to adapt to each extreme of a climate change. While they prefer colder weather, they have no problem, if cared for properly, adapting to warmer weather.

It really depends on how much time and responsibility you're willing to share with the animal. Believe me though Huskies are true companions, and will literally become your best friend.

I owned two of those as well (American Timber Wolf). I have photos of the one..Aki

My wife met me when I had the first, and she needed some coaching to go anywhere near it

Yup, Huskies seem like great companions. I'm planning to adopt or buy a husky in the near future and I'm starting to like them as much as German Shepherds!
