Centos or Debian for Server ?

Hello, what better for hosting server Centos or Debian ?:smash:

And Why you think so ?

CentOS.
Because CentOS can be converted to CloudLinux easily.
If CloudLinux were on the list, I'd choose that.

CL is the best OS for hosting, take a look at the features, and you'd know why.

Due to the fact that its CentOS 7 is a multi compatible operating system , +1 for CentOS

CentOS is always best for the hosting server. :)

Ubuntu because of LTS Releases. Not a big fan of CentOS but can't even tell why.

Centos because more stable.

Centos has a great community of extensions and plugins so this is the best option for hosting.

If you are hosting multiple tenants then CloudLinux (compatible with CentOS) is best as you can individually tweak the resources available to each user.

None from them, i would suggest you to use Ubuntu.

AbsoluteHosting 08-07-2017 11:10 AM

CentOS and Debian both are great reliable operating systems. I personally prefer CentOS.

HostOX 08-07-2017 05:48 PM

I prefer CentOS to be honest, all I really use!

Both Centos and Debian is same for me, the difference is only commands, now it totally depend on your self which commands you like more.

Meanwhile I prefer Centos because many control panel run on well on it.
