To all the hosts out there

Hello,
I am currently developing my latest venture which is quickhostquote.com. I was wondering if you could give me some information and answer some of my questions.

The aim of qhq is to provide host seekers with a one-stop-shop, all-in-one source for deciding what host to go with.
I plan to make this free for all host seekers. I do however want to make a small subscription charge for the hosting companies. What would you consider a fair price to pay to be listed on this website?
The features will be vast, more than any other web hosting searching website out there at the moment. It will provide (as I have said before) the only place where a host seeker needs to go to get hosting. They will be able to view things such as the uptime for that host and reviews, along with some other (host specific) tools.
Could I have your thoughts on this please?
Also let me know if you would consider signing up.

Regards

First, apologies if this sounds a bit less-than-diplomatic.

Based on what you've presented here, I wouldn't sign up - simply because there are other similar sites, and because my best advertising has been word-of-mouth. So many of us offer the same feature set - or offer a feature set that most clients don't care about - that we have to find other ways of differentiating ourselves than numbers-comparisons.

How would you compare the hosts? Prices? Feature sets? Customer reviews? Uptime numbers, from some third party? It's been done. What would differentiate this service from Findmyhosting, webhostingtalk's hostquote system, Hostquote, and the other similar services available? For the moment, never mind why a host would consider signing up with you: why would a consumer choose to use this service over another? If you can prove that you've got potential client traffic, and that those potential clients view your site with credibility, hosts may feel more interested in signing up for the service.

No problem. I value your comments. Its in development now. Im aware that there are other websites like this. We wouldnt compare the hosts at all. I cant reveal how it will work but thanks for your comments.
At first there would be an introductory offer (free to signup) to the hosts as I wouldnt expect them to signup without any backup that they would even get any clients or anything out of it. However over time I would put a subscription on the service as it grows in popularity.
I was also wondering what you DONT like about existing websites like this?

We've gotten hits from sites like these, and answered some requests for leads, but no signups.

By contrast, when I was active and communicating with potential clients, we received more hits but more importantly, sign-ups. Some of those clients are still with us.

Bluntly, they haven't worked for us. We're not willing to lowball some of the quotes, or introduce some "special" ultra-low-price discounts, to chance attracting clients who might well go someplace else when their plan is next up for review because they're just so attracted by the ability to have 500 MB of disk space and 50 GB of bandwidth for less than $5 a month (to just make up some numbers).
