betterlinux

but whois is their as the name states WHO IS the domain owner.

this is the whole point of the whois feature. a .uk domain could be registered with fasthosts in the UK but hosted in LA, USA, but run by someone in china with a site pertaining to be tiffany.co.uk. they hide their whois, you can 100% guarantee people would purchase thinking they were buying from tiffany until they find out they are not getting their goods what they have paid for, because the whois is hidden they arent aware the site is run by someone in china as a scam.

so really hiding whois info is a big no no these days, with more and more scam sites appearing. prime examples http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=324093

I would be willing to bet that 99% or more of the people who shop online will do searches totally unrelated to whois results when the determine where to purchase their online goods.

I do thousands of dollars of transactions a year online and I have never once looked at the whois information of the site I'm purchasing from. It is completely irrelevant.

The whole issue is completely irrelevant to this discussion because we have already determined that Betterlinux is not associated with Bluehost other than it would seem the domain is registered with them.

And exactly for that reason, I would like to take this discussion back on topic.

I apologize to everyone who wanted to discuss BetterLinux's suite of products.

Further posts that are not on topic will be deleted.
