How to disable URL preview in Skype's chat?

So I just updated to the latest Skype and boy oh boy is one feature in particular annoys the hell out of me: that thumbnail preview of every URL you insert into your chat message. I was having a work-related conversation and it turned my chat into a circus with every link I inserted into my message.

I've searched all over the web, including Skype community, but was unable to find any information on how to turn it off. Skype made chat front and center of their new releases yet it is not offering expanded preferences to control how information is consumed, similar to Slack.

Having said that, you aware of any Skype competitors (and I mean clients that allow you to place calls as well)?

Option -> IM Settings -> IM appreance -> Un-check on "Show link previews"

That's the issue. Where do you find "Option" to begin with on a new Skype?

It's better to uninstall this new version and reinstall old Skype version.

i tried the new version and did not like it so back to old version and i just ignore all the requests to upgrade to new version

On Windows at least, click your avatar above the chat list -> Settings -> Web link previews under Messaging
