Do you think that hosting prices are a sign of trust ?
Good question, It depends If I am looking just to get a quick site up for testing etc.. I don't want to pay loads maybe £2 per month tops, But If I am trying to run a business where my livelihood depends on decent up time I will pay a premium

From my journey in the hosting industry, I've come to discover that generally if the price is really cheap, then the hosting won't be up to par with what you truly want.

A lot of companies believe in getting what you pay for, therefore, if you pay $3/month for an "amazing" deal with a webhost, you're generally going to get $3 service, whether it be through the support or the actual web hosting.

Myself, I'm for checking on the prices THEN going back to check on the reviews for that said host. If you see a good bit of different reviews for a host, then you know it's most likely a reputable host. As well, checking on when the company opened is a great way to tell how good their service is. As well, it's good to try and check up which kind of websites they're hosting, and see what kind of clients they're trying to pick up.

For the most part, I try to level everything out from: Support time/knowledge - quality of the host from reviews/clients. Generally this means that for cheap hosts, it will have to be from a company that I know has been around for a long time, or that is known to be good for cheap. For expensive hosts, I've learned that most of the time (hint most) they try and make sure you know you're getting the quality of hosting you're paying for. They stand up to their expensive prices per month.

In hosting there are few more things which are more important than price. Like :

• Your requirements.
• Security
• Uptime
• Customer support quality of the hosting provider.
• Your selected hosting provider’s customer review.

I would say rather pay for quality as hosts have to pay for their services aswell and usually give more to clients on higher packages.

If u want high quality then obviously you should pay more rather that doesn't mean that people who offer less price are not having the quality. It all depends on your budget & the needs....

that's on affordability.

from asian countries mostly they go for oversold extremely cheap hosting.

but in american and European countries they choose the best or the middle prices.

As some leading providers do oversell but even so sell at $10/mo,,,,

That's because of the myth propagated by forums like these that higher price = better quality. According to current wisdom, the mere act of raising your price makes you a better host.

The truth is closer to this (for small hosts/one-man shops): The more you rely on hosting to pay your bills, the more you will charge.
