Thanks again everyone!
I just dumped VBulletin about two months ago for "Get Satisfaction", which you see a lot of app developers using. I honestly just got totally annoyed with VBulletin updates, and the Get Satisfaction board being part of a larger support community seems to have attracted people not my clients asking questions, which is always a good thing.

Since its formatted differently than a typical BB without a post count, it being less trafficked (my clients really don't do the BB thing with us) doesn't have quite the screaming emptiness that something like a low trafficked BB does.

Why would your clients use it if you have a 24/7 support. If your services are all unmanaged then that would be a good idea. Besides having an inactive forum just adds a negative impression on your company.

There's ups and downs, we currently provide a forum although it is very inactive at the moment.

It is a very good idea to create a forum where customer can share their issue and difficulties, make sure that you can monitor all the clients issue from their posting and reply it in timely manner.

If you have a difficulty to handle the forum, it would be better if you create a ticketing system so that each client's issue or request can be monitored and replied easily

I agree with what premix hosting said yes there is a need of forum where customers can put their issues and can get resolution related to it on time.
