You probably noticed that one of our esteemed colleagues just sold Vlog.mobi on Sedo for $6,100.

The terms “Vlog” and “Vlogging” are finally taking hold and becoming accepted by the mainstream. If you monitor the term on Google News like I do, you know that the mainstream media is now using it nearly every day. Hallelujah!!!

I jumped in early on the “Vlog thing” and have a bunch of vlog domains. Too many, in fact. However, uniques and traffic are FINALLY increasing, so it would seem that Vlogging is here to stay.

That being said, my portfolio is too heavy with this stuff. I want to diversify my domains, and get other domainers excited about vlogging domains. Therefore I hope to sell off as much as possible in the next few days before leaving for the Christmas holiday.

BIN for ANY of the following is $15. Some are clearly worth more. Some may be worth a bit less. I’ll let you decide that. Bottom line is that I’d like to sell all of them ASAP and I will refuse no reasonable offer. All are at GoDaddy (GoDaddy push and PayPal only) and all are set to renew within days.

Yep. Tried to make that clear in the auction copy. This is a pre-renewal auction. It's a chance to buy a large portfolio before it goes to the "drop-catchers" where it will probably collectively fetch far more than $500. Of course, we won't see a dime of THAT either. All we're trying to do is recoup a bit of the original reg fees before these drop from the portfolio. When facing expirations, we have to do the math on nearly 1000 domains. Unfortunately, sometimes even pretty good domains have to be dropped.
