WebDav instad of FrontPage Extensions. FrontPage is no longer developed by Microsoft, as such the Extensions are no longer being developed either. If you operate FrontPage Extensions on a server you are not operating on a PCI Compliant system, which means any eCommerce sites that may be doing transactions are in violation of Payment Card Industry rules & regulations.

Using DAV instead of FPE is accepted, and all newer version of FrontPage will operate with DAV. Older versions of FrontPage from the late 90's and even up to 2002 I think, did not support the DAV extension.

So if you're looking for FrontPage Extensions, look for WebDAV instead - it's more secure, and more in line with the PCI Requirements.

There will be no newer versions of FrontPage. It has been replaced by Expression Web 2 which is fully compliant (no more extensions).
