Should just be some usergroup reworking in the vB admin cp. I'd create a promotion where the original group can't use avatars. Then, promote that group to a group that can use avatars after posting so many times and being a member for so many days.I will put this down on the to-do list, and we'll see if there is a hack that can allow us to control avatars (similar to DevShed).
I think requirements should be a little less. Say 50 posts and a member for at least one month. We can perhaps allow members with at least 200 posts to use Avatars for now without any membership time length limitations?
Eh. I don't think vB distinguishes between the two.I think of avatars as static images. You could ban animated images couldn't you?
Orioli on the forums. :mic:Who's Jose?
I think I know how to allow avatars, but based only on # of posts.webfreak08 said:I think requirements should be a little less. Say 50 posts and a member for at least one month.
Avatars! Will this be something of interest or do you guys want avatars?
I think that members that already have met the requirements will not be promoted into the necessary usergroup.but why did you say there could be a problem with current members?
Yeah, that is what I faced just now. Maybe there is a hack that would allow to manage avatar permissions and go around the problem of current/new members with more ease.webfreak08 said:I think that members that already have met the requirements will not be promoted into the necessary usergroup.
Me too. I sure hope there is an easy way of introducing it. We'll be working on it.Exon said:I like the longevity+posts idea though.
