Can't receive activation email

I am a reseller with Hostforweb.com and have a minor problem that is turning into a major problem.

A number of email addresses within my clients can't receive server generated activation or verification emails, and therefore, cannot join many professional sites. It seems to be problematic with php generated email. I can receive the verification email on other mail addresses - both POP and IMAP.

The last two sites that I have tried to join are:

Drupal.org and Joomla.org.

HostforWeb keeps saying that is the fault of the webserver that I am trying to activate membership on. I am getting the royal run around while I am losing paying accounts.

Any body with this problem on HostforWeb.com or any other web host?

Also, I can receive the verification email on other mail addresses - both POP and IMAP.

It sounds like it is the servers problem. Unless you have a unmanaged dedicated server they should fix the problem. But from your original post it appears you probably have a reseller account. If that is the case this is their problem. I would insist Hostforweb fix the problem ASAP.

Also have your host make sure the rDNS is set to the servers hostname. A bad PTR could cause that issue as well.

Simply ask your host to find the problem and try to fix it for you. They may even listen.
