I'm not as savvy in free web hosting as I am in other aspects of the industry. So... Please clue me in as to how free hosts are making revenue these days. Aside from forced ads, what brings in the money to at least sustain a free hosting business?

well besides ads there is really no other way that free web hosts make money. they have ads on there web site.

The free hosts often make money by putting banners, popups, or popunders on your site. Some lure visitors with free hosting in hopes you will upgrade and pay for advanced features. A few send you occasional emails with ads.
