Email not going out

Check bounces, headers, blacklist, there are many possibility to look into e-mail issue.

Are you experimenting some at the moment?

What control panel are you using for your clients? cPanel has a mail troubleshooter, if you are using another I'm sure it has something useful as a troubleshooting tool. :)

+1 on the RBL checks for your server's IP's

how do we trouble shoot when client's emails are not going out?

If you don't know how to do this you may want to pay somebody to do it for you - I can recommend Steven from Rack911 (rack911.com) he is excellent and knows what he is doing.

You need to invistigate the situation and then decide what to do. That is impossible to advise something without having a look

Yup,that would be truly tough to advise or predict the possible problem unless we have some more details on this regard. There are multiple reasons that could stop outgoing e-mails from an account.
As an SOS,you may use the troubleshooter as suggested by MikeTrike. Still if the problem persists, you can anytime come back to the forum with some more details such as the control panel that the client is using, the mail client etc.

We do following troubleshooting.
1) check internet connecitivity
2) check if email client software (ex: OUTLOOK) is holding emails
3) If a user get PoPup massage, get it. (It is a key to solve the problem most of times.)

Most easiest way to troubleshoot this type of issue is getting the bounced back email with full headers which client is getting at his end. This will lead you to troubleshoot the issue in right direction.
