I'm thinking about getting fastCGI set up on my home server, but I've never done it before and wanted some input. I'm running Ubuntu server, and fastCGI is in the repository, so no big deal there.
As far as configuration is concerned, is it possible to run PHP4 and PHP5 side by side if they're both being run through fastCGI? And what, if any, speed difference should I notice in doing this?
To anyone who already has fastCGi running, are there any security measures I should take?
