Have you bought out any clients?

I have seen a lot of hosts buying and selling clients recently

have you ever bought any clients to add to your company?
If so, did you only go for clients with the same control panel as you then offered?
Did you take over the server if it was a full server of clients?
Did you move any clients to a new DC?
Did you lose many of the clients?
Would you do it again if you had the chance and do you think its worth other hosts buying out clients when a host is going out of business?

I never bought any clients but sold some. They were on a reseller account. I let the buyer 'borrow' my domain name for a while so that he could get them migrated to a different DNS server. He lost some clients - yes. This deal was very weird and I have no idea what the driving force behind this buyer was. He still has not billed the clients - almost 6 months after. His biggest mistake was communication. He apparently failed horrible to communicate.

Nope, never bought any clients. I looked into it, but bailed since most was very $$.

Never done it but I would consider it
