How to trace referrer?

I have a strange question : I have all of a sudden started getting hits to my site - much much more than normal today.
Day Number of visits Pages Hits Bandwidth
01 Nov 2003 5 196 2011 1.10 MB
02 Nov 2003 6 232 2472 1.23 MB
03 Nov 2003 9 226 1943 1.08 MB
04 Nov 2003 7 166 1752 885.36 KB
05 Nov 2003 13 220 1820 1.73 MB
06 Nov 2003 12 38 367 287.65 KB
07 Nov 2003 23 183 2407 1.42 MB
08 Nov 2003 58 144 1789 2.16 MB

It's not even Noon yet,but ive already gotten 58 uniques today! I looked in "awstats" and "webalizer" and the referrer seems to be:
http://pub130.ezboard.com/feqasylumgeneral.showMessage

Looks similar to when someone clicks onto my site from a post on this forum it shows: http://www.hostingdiscussion.com/showthread.php

Is there any way to trace where exactly the link to my site is posted? Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

thanks,
ahmed

Are all of the hits coming from the same source?

Usually when you have an unexplained increase in unique hits it is a result of search bots spidering your site.

Figured it out. I was watching the "latest visitors" log in the web/ftp stats section of cpanel and I caught someone right when they got to the site and before they could click onto something else - so i found the topic id in the forum where it was coming from. apparently someone had posted a link to my site in a gaming community forum :)
