Most servers you have put in a 42U rack?

not sure about how many, but using HP dl360's cooling has been a major issue. Those servers pump out a lot of heat. . ..

I rent all of my servers off the datacenters. I prefer to do this because then if something breaks or needs replacement, it's not my problem--the datacenter has to do it.

Wise, why not build your own servers? I have had great success in doing this.
Many reasons why - but a few are:

- The dc will support the hardware on them
- I get 3 years hardware warranty on them
- I buy a box and it just works and has ILO etc configured
- I prefer branded label hardware for mission critical / business use

In saying all that I don't use HP's for web hosting!! We rent from the DC.

Thats very true but most dc's will replace dead parts for a nominal fee, but leasing from them is not a bad idea.
