Dedicated Hosting company looking for Unix systems administrator.
This is a full time position (9am to 5pm) in Secaucus, NJ available immediately.
Requirements:
Familiarity with different Unix operating systems including FreeBSD, CentOS, Fedora, Debian
Familiarity with Windows Server platform.
Ability to install and configure the above mentioned operating systems. This includes networking as well (Basic understanding of IP subnets)
Ability to install, configure, maintain DNS, MySQL, Apache, Exim, Qmail, sshd, OpenSSL, and Courier Imap.
Ability to compile apache, software and kernels required for any hosting situation.
Ability to install and maintain firewalls csf, apf, ipfw, iptables Any hardware firewall experience is welcome.
Understanding of Intel based motherboards, hard drives, RAM, CPUs and related requirements for installing the above mentioned operating systems.
Ability to troubleshoot problems related to software, kernel, operating systems and hardware to ensure maximum server uptime.
Thorough knowledge and support of cPanel is required. In addition to cPanel it is also desired to have experience with DirectAdmin and Plesk.
Ability to provide friendly, clear, and quick communication with the client by phone, chat and ticket system.
Works well in a team environment and independently with limited supervision.
Local or commutable distance from Secaucus, NJ.
