Buyer Beware !!!

They took a month plus to resolve email issues-but gave them another chance after they said they were not officially open yet or setup for support and that from now on they would be and they would start the billing from the day they resolved the email issues
Then they suspended all my customer accounts with a contact billing and customer service ASAP page but took days to get a response via email even though I had sent several emails and made several phone calls to them. They still never returned any phone calls and sent an email saying there was a spam issue and I would here from Abuse@serverplace.net first thing in morning. In afternoon called , left messages and emailed. There tech said I would have to email owner Brandon Dallas- no response!!!! Then accounts were all shutdown and I emailed him and left messages to see how it could be resolved??? Finally sent email saying that there was spam from one of the accounts and that is why all my customers got shut down. I had 4 reseller accounts and was using only one --I requested refund they said no they charge $50 per spam from your customers!!!! They never would say what account supposedly this was from as I setup all these accounts for my customers myself and made several requests to that matter but they will not respond with answers--Very poor business practices-- Do you want a host that does not communicate with you and shut down all your sites for their lack of security or if someone spam someone do you want to lose all your customers and have them try to bill you $50 each???
Save your time effort and money--Don't deal with this company or people. I will send you copies of email if you wish also they are not longer register on Ebay either--Check the RED FLAGS!!!
I have very good feedback on both EBAY and AMAZON.com and will supply links on request. Stay AWAY!!!!!!
 
This is so funny to me. This is a simple reseller of a company we bought, that sent out over 2,000 spam emails. As most of you know, SPAM is not allowed and is against the law. This guy also bought one of those unlimited plans from ebay, from a small company that we purchased. He has no idea about what he is talking about as that is not even half of the story.

And for the record, we have never sold on ebay. The company we purchased did.
 
I would just add that anyone who purchases web hosting off eBay should expect to have a negative lesson from such experience.

exactly my point. We purchased vatalhosting along with several other companies, and when we took over the servers we found out that a lot of spam was being sent out. So of course like any other web host his account was suspended, then after he did not contact us it was terminated. When we bought the company and got the NDA there were only 5 accounts like that which paid yearly, and that was not a problem. But when a customer is sending out spam, there is a problem.
 
No spam was sent and no communication

This hosting package is from current company (SERVERPLACE.NET)as payment went direct to current Serverplace.net not previous company(--will send proof to others that may wish to know). They never sent communication and I personally called many times their 800# and they did not have courtesy to call back after all the calls and emails requesting they do so!!! THEY NEVER EVEN WOULD TELL ME WHAT ACCOUNT SUPPOSEDLY WAS SPAMMING!!!
AND THEY SHUT DOWN ALL OTHER CUSTOMERS IF YOU HAVE SOME CUSTOMER THAT SPAMS __YOU WILL LOSE MANY CUSTOMERS!!!Very shady business practices!!! Never replied as to what account supposedly was spaming!!! They previously had accounts of child porn but supposedly owner is same as previous owner of VATALHOSTING??? Do a search on serverplace.net and check results!!!!beloew is what I got on Yahoo search

No accounts had child porn. That was a spammer vatalhosting had as well. just like Artashes said, never buy hosting off of ebay. If ebay hosting was any good, dont you think everybody would sell there? I mean be serious.


If you knew anything about headers, you would know that the header in that email is talking about UZZIP hosting. Well I guess you didnt say that, since you changed the header.

As it says in our TOS, we charge $50 for each spam message.

Now this is also something crazy isnt it? this guy is trying to put a DDOS on the server he was on. to bad the IP's are in the same region of which he accessed our server from last time, so we have PROOF.

Straight up--on their home page which was done some time ago it shows a excerpt from a supposed customer saying that they have been with serverplace.net for 3 months and have had great service--I was setup in Dec!!!! This was with Serverplace.net
 
Plain and simple we didn't send any spam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This company does not respond to phone calls, and emails --Very POOR Support.
Resellers --Do you want to jepordize your whole business over the practice of being shutdown for all your accounts if one account supposedly spammed and not be told what account , when and no opportunity to continue on and lose your money without any communication besides--I think not!!! Steer clear of ServerPlace.net if you value your business and money!!!
After a few customers start legal proceedings against them they probably won't be around long. Appears to be flyu by night and use supposed excuse of spam to scam your money---They show no proof or make any commmunication.



I am doing this to help protect other people from such disasters!!! Be wise-This company lies!!!

There is no reason for me to post anymore in this thread. As I have said over and over, spam is against our TOS and will not be tolerated. Good luck with your business but other then that, there is nothing I can say.

Nobody "scammed" you out of your money. We host 4 other accounts that were just like yours, and they are not having any problems. But spam will not be tolerated.
 
onekgb, I understand that you may be upset because of your hosting experience, and I think enough points are made that you were left unsatisfied with service.

Considering the materialistic value of service provided, my suggestion to you will be to move on. If you're not entirely happy with your order - find a hosting company you will be comfortable with. Why keep spending your valuable time messaging and posting on a forum?

We will not be able to do anything because there are two sides to this story and we will never know what really happened because we weren't there.

Again, I recommend finding yourself another hosting provider (not through eBay this time) and dedicate yourself to growing your site/business.

i wanted to let you know, that i am one of the 4 fellow "customers" who were scammed out of this deal (4 x 10GB reseller accounts). the serverplace people are blatantly lying when they say that "We host 4 other accounts that were just like yours, and they are not having any problems."

i never ever broke the TOS of any affiliated companies. no spam no nothing. what ticked me out the most is, that the serverplace smarties (actually it was "Atrivo staff" @ sales@hostany.com who got back to me) refused to give me access to my database data unless i'd buy a dedicated package for 100+ bucks from them. quote: "If you decide to purchase a server with us, only then will we get involved in assisting you recover data from a server 'that might have an outstanding balance'". so NO word about spam even. i didnt even request a refund, just my own data back - but they refused unless id cut a deal with them.

i even got brandon dallas on the phone, but he said that there was nobody living named "brandon" - i am 99% positive he was lying...

90% of eBay hosts suck one way or another. and an especially FU to brandon dallas, serverplacenet/hostany and ron parsley at go2parsleys.com if were at it already... he pulled of the same scam with some people.

What are you talking about? We are in no way the company hostany/atrivo. We have had a server from them, but are you saying that we own Hostany? Ebay hostany has been just trouble for us, as one reason we stopped buying companies because of this. I am brandon dallas, and I Do not own serverplace. I work there, but I DO NOT OWN It. The owner is Bassam, which you can talk to at 888-SPHosting. Ebay hosting has been trouble, fraud, accounts killing our server, tons of things. You were probley a customer of vatalhosting, and if so that is a problem between you and them, not serverplace and you.
