As initially posted in SA-Mart (http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1906677):

Hi there,

As the thread topic hints at, I have a credit card debt totaling nearly $2000 right now and really do need the money for rent / bills / food... basically survival!

I run MJZ Web Hosting and have been casually selling web hosting packages within SA-Mart for a long time now. Here is a chronological history of all past MJZ Web Hosting threads in the mart:

I host a fair amount of goons I'd imagine. Out of the 528 clients I'm hosting right now, I'd estimate around ~200 (if not more) of them are goons.

I'm currently running three high powered dual opteron servers, each equipped with 2GB of RAM and each housed within three different datacenters (FITX/SAVVIS/GNAX).

I offer a lot of unlimited features in each and every hosting account. To quote the front page of mjzhosting.net:

All hosting packages include UNLIMITED (a billion) E-mail accounts, FTP accounts, MySQL databases, Addon Domains and Sub-Domains. To add to the plethora of unlimited features, FANTASTICO is included with the service as well, at no extra charge!
As such, out of the 528 clients and at the moment of this posting, I host a total of (including parked, addon and primary domains) 4101 domains (don't worry though, many are passive or rarely used, the servers are not bogged down at all) -- some clients are addon domain whores. I suppose it might be quite a steal to be paying $19/year for a hosting account and having the ability to host unlimited domains through it.

Anyway, this sale is going to be sort of experimental...

I pride myself on trying to refuse the hiring of abstract forces of outsourced tech support which through their unavoidably detached and uncaring representations, clearly wouldn't ever really serve to represent the spontaneous concerns of myself or my company (although I have just added on a small army of volunteer-based support comprised fully of MJZ Web Hosting clients no less :) ). I also pride myself on attempting more of a direct sort of communication (as much as the internet allows for at least) with clients as opposed to the usual sort of chatter seen today as highly mediated through support reps who care little for the creative or collaborative aspects within the company -- and really serve only to represent little more than the lack thereof through thier detached roles -- outside of their pay checks.

As such, I'd like to talk out the price with you guys on a one on one basis where nothing is set in stone or "reified" anymore. Who cares about the fast paced movement of the market based in the quick contemplation of exchange "value?" The typical, non-communicative spectacle that is the daily commodity-exchange process of which we all know so well is a bore. Why should these processes act as points of "communication" (or even be allowed to get away with such a dishonest useage of the word for that matter)? Automation can be great until it pretends that it is a human being (or worse, when a human being takes on its script) or a point of dialogue when it is merely an algorithmic process -- let's have a discussion outside of this commerce instead.

Now, this is obviously a sale so if you'd like to negotiate a price with me, I guess we can assume that it will end up being lower than the official prices (which can be seen both here and here) as listed on my website. With that said, please don't try to bankrupt me! Also, feel free to pay more (and I will kiss your shoes) for an account than what is listed if "commiseration" is your game ;)

Also, I'd just like to note that the business itself, which has been officially in operation since June 28th of 2004, isn't in any financial trouble or anything so you won't be signing on to a sinking ship -- its just my personal funds (the business sustains itself without problems... I just need some quick cash right now).

Thanks for your consideration... :)
This sale is active right now, so tell your friends (I beg you kind sir)!
