I work an average of 8-10 hours a day. Working up in Tennessee with a non-profit putting in 40 hours there, then after that I spent off time doing personal projects which is all pretty much online work so I wouldn't consider it work
Our management team is pretty much on call 24/7. We'll alternate to allow each of us to get some sleep. Our techs are on a 4 day work week pulling 10 hour shifts. I totally agree with incloudibly when they stated "The simple rule is the more you do, the higher the return." There is zero substitution for hard work.

I work a part-time / full-time job and I also run my own business. I usually work from about 7:30 AM to about 1:00 AM. 7:30 to 8a is my business.. 8a - 5p is the company I work for.. then 5p to 1am is my business.
I work as a faculty in computer science. And when I'm not teaching, I'm working for my hosting business.
Actually my staff get more leisure time to spend than me!
But, I never felt I'm working as I love what I do(hosting/teaching).

When our company just started, my colleague and I were working 10 hrs a day. Now, the load is a little lighter coz we have more people doing the menial tasks. But then we get more customers now too so I'm still on a 9 hour shift after 10 years in the hosting business.
