Social Media is one great way to achieve this.. Give your business a good social presence (Facebook, Twitter, Google+, ect..) by posting unique and relevant content, daily. This alone will bring tons of quality traffic to your website(s). The more content you produce, the larger your web footprint becomes and the more traffic you receive.

Blog posts, guest posts, guest links, social media A LOT, forums, etc.
And patience - it takes time.
Do not expect a lot of traffic in your 1st year, google does not appreciate young sites

Do some back linking through social media, guest blogging, blog comments and so on. Remember that it takes time to build authority, so be patient.

Gaining traffic is really hard. Social media can really help (facebook, twitter, google+, reddit, etc) however it is not as easy as you think. You must subscribe/follow the right community on them, and not always its easy to get interest. Trying Adwords or buysellads is a good option but with buysellads you have to find the correct websites. Adwords is much simple to operate. Having original content is actually the option that i would go. Setting up a blog could be really help in doing that. Lastly posting on craigslist and forums will gain tractions however if you have a typical offering then your results wont be too impressive. Make sure your website has good SEO optimization because having your site on every search engine is really important. I would try all options, but remember that you must look after all of the regally. Hope this helps, good luck

How about AdFly? It is easy to get a lot of traffic on your website and cheap. But it is not guarantee that every one is interesting to your website or product.

I've used the similar site to AdFly, linkbucks (or however its called) and had OK results. I purchased over 30k visitors and only got a few signups to one of my sites. Wasn't worth the money.

To get traffic you need to visit a lot forums, post daily (not spam), build your backlinks, make sure your site is Google friendly, social media, and the most important piece of advice I can give you is...Are you ready!? Make sure you give your clients the best possible service you can and make sure your support is at its best. Clients remember a good experience and will pass on your company to their friends.

If you are not selling a product and looking for traffic, everything I said above will work just fine, even the service part. It could be a personal blog, site about tech or gaming, you are still pleasing an client/audience. Make sure their experience is a good one!
